OUR MISSION

Building resilience, empowerment and a community of strong girls

For generations, our society has led us to believe that our worth is determined by our appearance. Now more than ever, our bodies are being commodified. The impact this is having on mental health, especially that of young women and girls, is easily observable. I want to help girls build up resilience to this world and the never-ending challenges it will continue to throw at us. I believe this starts by changing the relationship girls have with their bodies and themselves.

I seek to cultivate a culture of body neutrality by focusing on what our bodies can do for us, rather than what they look like. I aim to help girls build resilience early on so they feel confident facing any challenge that comes their way. One of the best ways to facilitate this journey is by building physical strength.

In a male-dominated arena, this program offers girls an easy and friendly way to get started lifting weights. Whether or not you have picked up a dumbbell in your life, Mind-Body Strength will help you build mental and physical resilience, as well as a better relationship with your body and your self through the medium of strength training.
